Khuzdar: Two more female students ,critically injured in the recent terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, have succumbed to their injuries, raising the total number of student deaths to eight.
Security sources confirmed that students Shaima Ibrahim and Muskan, who were injured in Tuesday’s attack passed away today while under medical treatment.
With the latest fatalities, the death toll includes seven female students and one male student. On the day of the suicide bombing, three students died on the spot: Sania Soomro (Grade 6), Hafsa Kausar (Grade 7), and Ayesha Saleem (Grade 10). Later, student Haider and female students Malaika and Seher Saleem also succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The funeral prayers for Ayesha Saleem and Seher Saleem, daughters of Subedar Saleem and residents of Kallar Syedan, were held in their hometown.
Hafsa Kausar was laid to rest in Okara, and Sania Soomro in Rahim Yar Khan. Their funeral prayers were attended by Pakistan Army personnel, political and social figures, and members of the local community. The atmosphere at the ceremonies was marked by grief, with mourners in tears.
Security sources allege that India has now resorted to cowardly attacks to destabilize regions like Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by using proxy militant networks.
Officials emphasized that the blood of these innocent children will not go unavenged, and accountability will be sought.
